The Long Version
Originally born in Texas and raised in the Orlando area, Derek Patti earned a B.S. in Finance from Florida State University before moving to Sarasota in 2013, the same year he became a licensed REALTOR®. Since then he has built a career on continuously educating himself on the ever changing local market through industry designations and certifications, including the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Resort and Second Home Specialist (RSPS) and C2EX.
Derek’s professional background includes customer service experience at PNC Mortgage and as a Retirement Benefits Specialist for the State of Florida, roles that shaped his patient, detail oriented approach with clients. He worked as a buyer’s agent with the largest RE/MAX franchise in the state before joining a boutique firm on Siesta Key, and now serves clients as part of NextHome Excellence, his third brokerage.
Beyond his own transactions, Derek has been deeply involved with the Realtor Association of Sarasota Manatee, including as a Director for Florida Realtors, Chair of the local Young Professional Network (YPN) and a graduate of the RASM Leadership Institute. He lives in Sarasota with his wife Katherine and their three children.
